Mr. Danyo, holds a B.Sc. Hons in Botany/Zoology (Plant Pathology/Genetics, 1999) and M.Phil degree in Botany (Mycology-2003) from the University of Ghana. He is presently a Ph.D. candidate in Crop Science, University of Cape Coast (UCC).
Mr. Danyo joined the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research-Oil Palm Research Institute (CSIR-OPRI) in 2005 as a Research Scientist.
He has had significant national and international engagements in the epidemiological studies and containment of the lethal yellowing-like disease of coconut (known locally as Cape Saint Paul Wilt of coconut). His role as the Project Lead, for the French Special Priority Projects (FSP) on the epidemiology of coconut lethal yellowing-like disease (LYD) in Ghana was phenomenal. The reason, he is one of the most-cited authorities on the disease world-wide.
Mr. Danyo, has about 20 research publications in his name. He is a long-standing reviewer for scientific journals such as American Journal of Plant Sciences (AJPS), Journal of Experimental Agriculture Research International , Journal of Agriculture and Ecology Research International, JAERI).
